Step 1 – Introduction
Every collaboration begins with an introduction, either online or on-site, where the client gets acquainted with the working methods of the Indall team. During this meeting, mutual expectations and goals are discussed.
Step 2 – Inventory
Following the brief introduction, the Indall team gets to work immediately. In addition to conducting a short research phase, ideas for the video are proposed and discussed within the team. The team also reviews any existing material the client may have (in terms of video) to ensure consistency in style. The concept, or multiple concepts, are then translated into a required investment budget from the client.
Step 3 – Budget
During the introductory meeting, the topic of budget is also addressed. Together with the Indall team, possibilities within the client’s budget are explored. The discussion includes why a video or animation is worth the investment and how it will provide returns.
The team not only considers the client’s budget but also collaborates on the Return on Investment (ROI) of the video, focusing on the overall results.
Step 4 – Pre-Production and Market Research
Step 5 – Script Writing
- Time
- Location(s)
- Names and titles
- Recording day environment
- Material
- Number of people required on set
Step 6 – Production
Once the script has been approved, the production is scheduled. Will it fit within one day, or are multiple production days required? Are there any special requirements from the client, such as the availability of certain people or machines? All of this is coordinated during this phase.
The schedule for a shoot day will naturally vary for each video. A general timeline for a video production day might look like this:
08:00 – 08:15 Arrival and brief introduction
08:15 – 08:30 Review location, coordinate where the shots will be taken
08:30 – 09:30 Setup (lighting, camera, background, microphone for speakers)
09:30 – 12:00 Filming
12:30 – 16:30 Filming
16:30 – 17:15 Breakdown and loading
17:15 – 17:30 Discuss final details and plan for first delivery
Step 7 – Post-Production
After filming, the team begins working on the video and any 2D or 3D animations. A rule of thumb is that the client will receive the first version of the video within 14 days. If the video is part of a series, the client will first receive one video to review. This allows for alignment on the style and tone of voice for the entire series. If there are any adjustments needed, these can be made before the rest of the series is edited, keeping the process efficient and flexible.
Step 8 – Feedback and Coordination
Once the client approves the first video, the remaining videos are also edited and finalized. Indall typically allows for two rounds of feedback during the production process. The most important aspect is that the final result meets the client's satisfaction.
Step 9 – Delivery and Launch
Once the client is completely satisfied with the video, the project is concluded. As a standard, the Indall team also provides a thumbnail along with the video. This enhances conversion rates, as potential viewers are more likely to click on the video. It also ensures consistency on platforms such as YouTube or the website.
The client may choose to launch the video themselves; if desired, Indall can also assist and advise in this process.
