Did you know that Indall will celebrate its fifth anniversary in 2025? We are celebrating it with a deep dive. Together with founders Roland and Remco, we reflect on how it all started, where Indall stands now, which ideals drive them, and how they try to contribute to that with their work every day. What once began in a small apartment in Enschede has grown into a team that works on media for impactful projects in the world of technology, energy, and innovation.
Did you know that Indall will have existed for five years in 2025? We are celebrating that with a deep dive. Together with founders Roland and Remco, we reflect on how it started, where Indall stands now, what ideals drive them, and how they try to contribute to that with their work every day. What once began in a small apartment in Enschede has grown into a team that works on media for impactful projects in the world of technology, energy, and innovation.
"What motivated you to start Indall five years ago?"
After their experience with their first company called Tortilla Media, where the focus was mainly on commercial campaigns, Remco and Roland decided to do it differently with their second company. They wanted to use their technical and creative background for meaningful media. Thus, Indall was born; an agency that makes innovation visible and understandable for a wide audience.

“How do you see your role in a world full of change?”
Roland explains that the energy transition, climate challenges, and technological developments call for clear stories. Without clear communication, progress is difficult to initiate.
Internally, companies are also looking for better ways to transfer knowledge, for example through e-learnings. An aspect of the field that remains too often underexposed, while it is actually essential for innovation. “And in those areas, we really do see our added value!”
"Creative agencies make beautiful things without always understanding the complexity. Technical companies have brilliant innovations, but they find it difficult to explain them to outsiders."

“What milestones do you look back on with the most pride?”
“Phew… there are quite a few!” Remco immediately responds. There are several key moments - from the registration of Indall during the corona period to the sale of Tortilla Media.
Indall has grown into a team of engineers, copywriters, and creative makers. “Every day I am impressed by what we achieve together,” says Roland. Indall is often involved early on in innovative companies and initiatives. Additionally, (semi-)government projects around energy, labor, and the environment are playing an increasingly significant role.
“Tenders are tough, but we have become accustomed to them. Winning such a tender is always a celebration,” says Roland.
One project that still stands out is the film for The Global Irrigation Project. “Back then just an idea, now broadcast on Nieuwsuur and popular on social media,” Remco explains. “And I still frequently get asked if it really wasn't filmed — while it is completely animated. I still find that fantastic.”
“What is a dream project you would like to realize someday?”
Remco: “The Netherlands is full of companies and initiatives that contribute to the transition to a better world. Some of them are even global players — like Heerema with Sleipnir, the largest crane ship in the world. That is almost science fiction.”
“We wish for the Netherlands BV that this kind of progress is communicated even more clearly with strong, substantive media and that society truly feels that pride. Because there is more than just ASML.”

u00147Do you have tips for others who want to make the Netherlands smarter and better?”
“It may sound clichu0000, but: dive into technology and innovation,” says Roland. “The news often focuses on how bad things are, but technology and innovation bring a lot of potential. The solutions are already there - we just need to utilize them. For that, we do need smart people.”
Remco nods. “There are plenty of people with jobs that add little to nothing to society - sometimes even the opposite.”
What we do need? “People who use their talents for progress,” says Roland. “If you help to advance innovations, then you really make an impact.”
